BUILDING MOI UNIVERSITY SEVENTH-DAY CHURCH.

Of all churches in Moi, it is only the SDA church that shares their pulpit with the devil through Discothe’ques (famously “Kadunda”) held in the same venue.  It is a shocking story.  Only in private conversations can the deacons and deaconesses share with you the ill that they witness while cleaning up on Sabbath in preparation for the Sabbath services.  Surprisingly, this is the story that is about to be changed this 2020.

“Nobody would set his / her eye twice on what we find in LT3 every Saturday morning during the cleaning before the services.  It is down-hearting and shameful”, says Paulina one of the deaconesses.

The cradle of the dream started way back in 2009 according to my sources students then wanted to move out from LT3 and it has been so ever since.  “We cannot shame the same pulpit with the Devil anymore”, said Loyce Ngeta, a forth year MUSDA member taking media science.

On 8th December which was the postponed Associates Sabbath, the students unanimously decided that 2020 would be a year of stepping out of LT3 and building up MUSDA church on new land given by the University administration. “The last two Sabbaths have been both inspiring and exciting.  The deliberate giving, the zeal for God’s church to stand in Moi is truly burning in God’s children in Moi University”, the first church elder Mr. Muan.

Building MUSDA church 2020
It was agreed every student would each contribute sh. 7000 by 2nd February, 2020 in preparation of 9th March.  For me that was bold.  Really bold.  It takes courage and sacrifice to do God’s call and work.
Cards were picked b students that would raise roughly 700,000 should they be faithfully given out and returned.
Also a number took letters addressed to their churches to aid in the same building venture.

On 19th Jan, envelopes were given out to help in keeping track of every member’s progress on the building agenda.  The book of MUSDA BUILDERS was launched.  In that 1st Sabbath 56,340 was raised unplanned.
Currently the year group that is leading in giving are MUSDA’S latest and youngest: Heaven Targeters and the leading individual gives is our very own Shepherd Pr. Dan Mmasi (10K), followed by Akoko Ely (7,900) and Dorcas Moraa in third place (7,050).  This is a testimony that it is indeed possible and can be done.

MUSDA members are looking for a way they can advertise their building agenda to raise you on Hope Channel, KTN, NTV and Citizen.  They therefore appeal that you may pray with them, be part of them and share the story with friends.
