            NO SURCHARGES  NO RESUMPTION               OF STUDIES.

All students resuming for their studies January the year 2020 in Moi University have been asked to report with one thousand nine hundred and fifty shillings  as surcharges for vanderlizing the university property during the strike that they held last year in October.


The vice chancellor Professor Kosgei asked all the students to abide by the rules outlined in the memo by filling a form showing that one will not go against the university rules. The rules not only include the  payment of the surcharges fee but also the issue of cooking in the university hostels which has greatly affected the individual students at large due to added expenditure in buying of food in restaurants that some can hardly afford.

It was made clear that any student that will not pay the penalty fee which was reduced from six thousand  shillings to the amount payable after complaints from both students and parents,  there will be no RESUMPTION  of classes and therefore the students will not sit for their end semester exams. This has forced many students to pay heavily for what they did not pertake and more especially more pay for less destruction.
